Meet Executive Chef Nate Horton
A San Diego native, Chef Nate Horton draws inspiration from his family’s ranch in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja’s celebrated food and wine region. Time in the kitchen with his abuelita, along with the bold flavors of Cambodian home cooking from his stepmother, shaped his globally inspired palate. At the University Club, he brings together Baja heritage, Southeast Asian influence, and Michelin-level execution honed at San Francisco’s Michelin-starred Japanese steakhouse Niku to create heartfelt, ingredient-driven dishes.
